Focus of Debate: How students learn in a digital world outside of the school gates: use of mobile phone, handheld devices, laptops, TV etc.

This workshop will look at how schools can harvest the interest demonstrated by students in learning through a digital medium. Some key questions include:
-How can our school tap into the digital interest of students?
-What is the best thing for our school to do in order to be more modern in its approach to student learning through digital media?
- How can the teacher in our school nurture the interest shown by our students in a digital world?

The session will look at the following:
- Literacy
- Online book club
- Integrated learning / learning online
- Digital Cre8tor (the ‘new’ ECDL)

This is one debate you want to be included in. It will look at what we are doing in schools re digital learning and how we could do things differently, smarter and more effectively
