The Fís Project
Five schools in the Kilkenny Education Centre Region are taking part in the National Film in Schools Project: Fís.

Stoneyford NS,
Graiguenamanagh Boys NS,
St Fiacc's NS Graiguecullen
Lisnafunchin NS.
The project started in December 2004 and goes on for three years. The pupils from these school produce a film each Year. The films are scripted and filmed in the school using Canon digital video cameras, The pupils then do their own Film editing using iMovie video editing software.
At the end of each year in June a Regional screening takes place in Kilkenny Education Centre and 2 films are nominated to go forward for the National Awards.
The National Awards ceremony is held in Helix each year during October with the Minister for Education present.
Film Courses are held for teachers who are interested in exploring the use of film and animation in the classroom.
The Centre works with Young Irish Film Makers in the delivery of the summer courses.
