Subject Associations

Subject Associations in a number of subject areas meet regularly in the Kilkenny Education Centre premises.

These associations are independent of the centre and the following information is correct at the time of posting. Changes should be notified to the centre at kecsec@eircom.net.

Computer Education Society of Ireland (CESI)

CESI is for teachers who are interested and or involved in using technology in teaching and learning. The local branch is active and the contact person is Conor Mac Liam who can be contacted: cmacliam@iol.ie

Irish Science Teachers Association

The Kilkenny branch of ISTA is very active. Meetings are generally held in schools in the Kilkenny city area in order to avail of laboratory facilities. The Kilkenny Branch caters for Science Teachers in the Carlow/Kilkenny region. The ISTA Kilkenny branch organise the ISTA Science Quiz for Seconday Schools in the region each year.
