This Webinar Series, suitable for Primary and Post Primary teachers, will help participants:

  • Understand the climate and nature crisis,
  • Get inspired, empowered and focus on solutions,
  • Become a confident communicator, and
  • Enjoy engaging and positive learning.

Whether you know lots or nothing about the Climate and Nature Crisis, this Series is for you! For those who know a lot about the Climate and Nature emergency, this Series will help participants to become more effective communicators in the classroom. For those who know very little, this Series will help participants to get up to speed. This live and interactive four-part Series features inspiring role models, experts and change makers from around the world. Participants will be equipped with the motivation, resources and knowledge needed to drive individual, collective and systemic change.

In this second webinar, Nature, Soil and the Future of Food, the following will be explored:

  • The full story of land use and farming, from the dominance of monoculture to the universe of soil,
  • The most misunderstood notions behind our Earth’s natural system, that lead to poor decision-making, inadvertent greenwashing and well-intended campaigns that do more harm than good, and
  • Food waste, biodiversity, local extinctions and rewarding, and most importantly, what we can do.

AimHiEarth run sessions for the UK's National Education Union, the University and College Union's members and school networks. Their work has been promoted by Teach First, School Zone, UNESCO, Fair Education Alliance, Ashen, Let's Go Zero 2030 and many others. Their Great Big Lesson for Climate and Nature was attended by thousands of schools concurrently and was recently highlighted in The Guardian and on Sky News.
