This Webinar Series will assist Primary school teachers in teaching reading comprehension strategies. Building Bridges of Understanding is a reading comprehension programme which aims to give children the strategies they need to become good readers. By learning about these strategies, children can become more involved in the text they are reading or hearing, and so deepen their understanding of the text. Each webinar will feature linkage to both oral language and writing genres that tie well with each comprehension strategy. There will be resource packs for each webinar and digital resources will also be highlighted.
