Teacher Artist Partnership - CPD for Enhancing Arts Education in Ireland

In 2020, the Teacher Artist Partnership CPD Summer courses are open to Primary Teachers from the 17th to 21st August in the following Education Centres; Cork, Donegal, Kildare, Kilkenny, Monaghan and West Cork only. These courses are facilitated by Teacher Artist pairs trained to work in partnership and equipped with the skills to enable participants to explore their own creativity through the various art forms. The objective of the courses is to support and enhance Arts Education in Primary Schools and to develop the creative potential of every child. The Teacher Artist Partnership courses are DES approved, free of charge with EPV day approval. Between two and four participating artists attend the Summer Course alongside participating teachers (in 2020 H&S space restrictions will determine total participating numbers). This exposes teachers to a variety of different art forms from visual arts to textiles, ceramics, photography, writers, actors, dancers, jugglers, music and much more. Following these unique summer courses, participating teacher’s schools may be eligible to access in-school fully funded Artist in Residency opportunities.
