The GROW at School Monthly Advice session is an opportunity for all school garden educators to access seasonal expert tips and tricks from GIY’s Head Grower, Richard Mee. Opportunities to further develop an understanding of using the garden to facilitate education for sustainable development are provided by GIY’s Head of Education, Mary Bishop. Each session will enable participants to grow in the garden with confidence while scaffolding primary students through experiential learning engagements to meet a variety of curricular needs while connecting students to their local food systems. Participants are provided with supporting tasks following each module that they can use directly with their students to embed new understandings. These sessions have been developed based around GIY's national primary school food education and sustainability programme, GROW at School.
