Digital Citizenship Online Workshop for Post Primary Teachers and School Leaders

Digital Citizenship Online Workshop for Post Primary Teachers and School Leaders

Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (TUS) and Limerick Education Centre invite Post Primary teachers and school leaders to attend an online Digital Citizenship workshop. TUS is undertaking a research study into Digital Citizenship concepts. With the COVID-19 pandemic and the changes the restrictions have enforced on so many aspects of our lives, there has never been more of a need for society to become more educated in the various aspects of Digital Citizenship. This study will engage with a wide range of people to provide opportunities to explore Digital Citizenship concepts. All participants are asked to do is fill in a questionnaire to find out the attitudes and perceptions they have to various aspects of Digital Citizenship at the start of the workshop, and again at the end of the workshop (participation is voluntary). Digital Citizenship is about much more than Digital Literacy. In this workshop, participants will explore the nine aspects of Digital Citizenship that should be taught to students. Participants will also participate in a fun digital Escape Room activity that they can use with their students.
