 T-REX (Teachers’ Research Exchange) is a project backed by the Department of Education & Youth, the Teaching Council, and the NCCA. We support professional learning, particularly in the use of research and evidence to solve problems, make decisions, and improve practice. We are passionate about supporting educators across Ireland and Northern Ireland with free, high-quality professional development opportunities.

The annual Graduate.ie Online Citizenship & Democracy Programme for post-primary students recommenced on Monday, September 15th and will run for 20 weeks, concluding in March 2026.  This programme offers one of your students a chance to represent their school and county at the European Parliament in Strasbourg in 2026, alongside 23 other students from across Ireland.
Who can participate: 3rd, 4th, and 5th year students
Number of winners: 24 students from across Ireland will be selected over the course of the 20 weeks.  Prize: A free 3-day trip to Strasbourg, including:

• One full day at the European Parliament
• Participation in a youth parliament with students from other EU member states
• The opportunity to sit in MEP seats and debate pre-selected topics on the EU and its impact on daily life
